Albert Woods
About
Albert Woods is a life vice-president of the British Olympic Association, of which he spent more than a decade as vice-chairman, and has been a member of the British National Olympic Committee since 1992.
Albert is a former athlete and was the chief canoe slalom official at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. He has also been president of the European Canoe Association since its inception in 1993, a member of the ICF board of directors since 1988, and a member of the ICF executive committee since 2015.
He was made an Order of the British Empire in the 2012 Queen’s Birthday honours list, and has a British canoe union award of merit and an award of honour.
