When and where did you begin this sport?
She began paddling in 2012.
Why this sport?
She volunteered at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London and was invited to try out for the British para-canoe squad. She accepted the offer despite suffering from seasickness at first. "Working at London 2012 and seeing incredible examples of human resilience inspired me. So I decided, following a suggestion from a fellow Gamesmaker, that I was going to learn how to paddle a boat and aim for Rio."
