The International Canoe Federation will hold a stand up paddling world cup event in Germany in September which will also double as a qualification event for this year’s ICF SUP World Championships in China.

The ICF has formed a partnership with the Hamburg company, ACT Agency, to host the SUP world cup in Scharbeutz from September 6 to 8.

The SUP World Cup in Scharbeutz has a reputation as one of the biggest and best established stand up events in Europe. It’s also considered one of the most competitive competitions in Europe.

The ICF is thrilled to sign the partnership with ACT Agency, and to be part of the long distance and sprint SUP events at the Scharbeutz World Cup.

The world cup will serve as a perfect preparation event for the 2019 ICF SUP World Championships in China, with the event winners promised return airfares and accommodation to the Qingdao event from October 25 to 27.

The ACT Agency is well known for its involvement in lifestyle water events, including kite surfing competitions. It is also the oprganiser of the Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt, one of the biggest watersport events in the world which has taken place annually since 1983.
