The International Canoe Federation has continued its commitment to strengthening its pool of technical judges and officials with a four day course in Nottingham, England.

The ICF canoe sprint technical officials’ course is designed to educate judges on the latest statutes and canoe sprint rules, on their roles and responsibilities, and on how to manage different situations.

Fifteen officials from 13 different European nations took part in the course, covering theory and practical aspects of canoe sprint. The course is being run in conjunction with the British Canoeing National Open regatta at Nottingham’s National Water Sports Centre.

Officials will sit a written and oral exam at the end of the course.
