This week marks two years exactly until the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics, and to mark the milestone Games organisers have released a more detailed event schedule and more information on ticket pricing.

The canoe and extreme slalom competition will be held over nine days at the Vaires-sue-Marne Nautical Stadium, beginning on Saturday July 27 with slalom preliminaries and running through to Monday, August 5th, with the first ever extreme slalom finals.

The first final contested will be the women’s K1 on Sunday, July 28. The men’s canoe final will be contested on the following day, while the women’s C1 and men’s K1 finals will be held on Wednesday July 31 and Thursday August 1 respectively.

Competition on each day of the canoe slalom program will run from 1530 until approximately 1850, while the extreme slalom finals will be held from 1530 until 1730.

The five-day canoe sprint competition begins on Tuesday August 6th and runs through to the penultimate day of the Olympics, Saturday August 10th. Finals will begin on Thursday August 8th.

Racing on most days will be held between 10am and 1315. The first medal race will be the men’s C2 500, one of four medal races on Thursday, August 8. Gold medals in women’s C2 500, and men’s and women’s K4 500 will all be contested on the Thursday.

Friday will offer gold medals in the women’s C1 200 and K2 500 and the men’s K2 500, while Saturday features finals in men’s C1 1000, K1 1000 and women’s K1 500.

Paris 2024 has also announced more than one million tickets across all Olympic sports will cost just 24 EUR. Nearly half the tickets will cost 50 EUR or less.
