ICF calls all female representatives of Paddlesport to join the Women's Community! This community is designed to bring together female representatives from across the world of paddlesport, fostering communication, collaboration, and engagement. We are committed to advancing opportunities for women in every area of paddlesport, both on and off the water. Following the Women’s Symposium, we have created dedicated groups on LinkedIn and WhatsApp, and we are committed to establishing a more comprehensive independent platform in the near future for improved access and communication.

We are delighted that our actions are already seeing advancements across the globe. For example, at the recent COPAC elections, six female board members were elected. They are Suzanne Britt from the USA, serving as the treasurer; Adriana Valderrama from Mexico, holding the position of Canoe Slalom president; Leslie Anne Schmidt from Canada, serving as the Paracanoe president; Martha Hernández from Mexico, representing the continent; and Cecilia Farias from Argentina, who is the honorary president and ICF vice president.

Furthermore, in the recent ACC Congress election, Svetlana Kulikova from Kazakhstan was elected for her second term as vice president. Additionally, four other female members now hold positions on the ACC board: Shao Yaping from China as continental representative, Miki Bando from Japan as canoe marathon chair, Zhong Xing from China as Canoe Freestyle chair, and Dr. Henny Tantono from Indonesia as medical and anti-doping chair.

We encourage you to share news and information and help us foster a strong and vibrant community with a common purpose of advancing opportunities for women across paddlesport. In the spirit of the excellent Women’s Symposium, let's continue to strive and change locally, change globally, and change together.
