Geoff Berkeley

About
Combining his lifelong love of sport with a strong thirst for storytelling, Geoff has turned his two greatest passions into a career.
Over the course of more than 15 years working in the sports media industry, Geoff has enjoyed telling captivating stories from the grassroots level to reporting on multiple Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Before moving into the communications world, Geoff spent more than a decade as a journalist in England. During that period, Geoff worked his way up from being a trainee news and sports reporter to becoming the editor of a local newspaper.
Geoff fulfilled his ambition to work on the biggest stage in sport when he joined the insidethegames.biz. Taking on the role of chief senior reporter, Geoff covered the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo and the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing as well as a series of big Olympic meetings and World Championships across a myriad of sports.
Geoff joined the ICF as the Global Lead: Communications in December 2023 with the aiming of strengthening the governing body for paddle sport’s internal and external communications.
He started 2026 as the new Head of Communications and Public Relations after relocating from England to the ICF’s new headquarters in Budapest.
Working with a five-person team across the offices in Budapest and Hangzhou, Geoff is setting out to reshape the future direction of how paddle sport is communicated when the ICF rebrands to Paddle Worldwide in the middle of 2026.
