The International Canoe Federation is delighted to announce it will be partnering with Bulgarian sport preparation specialists Sports Camps to help athletes better prepare for competition.

Sports Camps offers professional training environments for athletes and coaches, including organising transportation, accommodation, canoe and gym access and equipment.

The company is working with leading international boat manufacturers Plastex and Nelo, and already work with a number of large international sport squads.

“As a former athlete, I am fully aware of the challenges and distractions competitors have to deal with, so if we can help relieve some of that pressure, teams will get better results on the water,” Sports Camps founder, Adnan Aliev, said.

“We are very happy to be working with the ICF, and are looking forward to joining them at canoeing competitions this year to showcase what we offer to athletes and teams from all over the world.

“Our long-term goal is to make life easier for paddlers and their coaches. If we can take away the worry about what happens off the water, it will translate into better competition results.”

The team from Sports Camps will attend the Olympic qualifiers in Szeged and Barnaul this month.

“At the ICF we are always looking out for ways to make life easier and more enjoyable for our athletes, and Sports Camps will help this process,” ICF marketing manager, Catherine Wieser, said.

“Adnan and his team will bring to this partnership solid knowledge of what it takes to be an elite athlete. We are looking forward to a strong working relationship that will open the door to many new possibilities for international canoe teams.”
