2017 Canoe Slalom Race Progressions

For the 2017 Racing Season the ICF Canoe Slalom Technical Committee has determined the progression to the semi final and final for World Championships, all World Cups and ICF Ranking races will be as follows:

2017 Canoe Slalom World Cup Quota Attribution

  1. All Federations ranked on the 2016 ICF CSL Ranking list will get a minimum quota allocation of 2 boats per event in the Canoe Slalom (CSL) World Cup Races. Up to 2 additional quotas may be qualified via the 2016 ICF CSL Ranking. Federations not ranked on the 2016 ICF Ranking list will get a quota allocation of 1 boat.

2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Series Information

World Cup Competitions must be open to all 5 Continents (rule 44.2.4).

World Cup Competitions are valid only if at least 6 Federations start (rule 44.2.5).

In the event of a tie in the final ranking, after the last race in the series, the higher ranking is given to the competitor having the best result in the last race in the World Cup Series (rule 44.8.5).

2017 ICF Canoe Slalom Ranking Events Information

ICF Points Calculation and ICF CSL Ranking

ICF points are calculated separately for each phase (Heats, Semi-final or Final) in which an athlete participates. The lowest point value out of those 3 is the ICF points earned by the athlete for that race.
