World Paddle Games - Expression of interest

The International Canoe Federation (ICF) is proud to launch the World Paddle Games, a new flagship event concept designed to showcase the full spectrum of paddlesport on a single stage. Bringing together all 10 ICF disciplines - including the Olympic formats of Canoe Sprint, Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross, as well as Pracanoe, Canoe Marathon, Wildwater Canoeing, Ocean Racing, Canoe Polo, Canoe Freestyle, Dragon Boat and Stand Up Paddling (SUP) - the World Paddle Games will be far more than a competition. It will be a celebration of water, sport and culture - designed to inspire athletes, engage fans and deliver strong tourism and media value for host partners.

The World Paddle Games will:

  • Combine Olympic competition with the full spectrum of ICF disciplines, mass participation and festival experiences.
  • Unite all 10 paddlesport disciplines in one city/region.
  • Deliver strong media, digital and tourism outcomes for host partners.
  • Position paddlesport at the forefront of sustainability, safety and social engagement.

The ICF is now seeking Expressions of Interest from national federations, host cities and event organisations interested in partnering with us to stage the inagural World Paddle Games.

Submissions should briefly outline:

  • The proposed location and facilities.
  • Organisational capacity and experience in delivering major events.
  • Vision for integrating sport, culture, tourism and community engagement.

Following this call for interest, the ICF will provide a detailed bidding pack to shortlisted parties to support the development of formal proposals.

Expression of Interest is now open! Please fill this form to submit your details. We are accepting bids for both the 2030 and the 2034 iteration of the World Paddle Games.

The World Paddle Games will open a new chapter for paddlesport, bringing together all 10 ICF disciplines on a single global stage and creating meaningful impact for athletes, fans and host communities.
