Italy put on a commanding display in Ljubljana, Slovenia just weeks before the venue hosts the first International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Cup of the season. 

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Ranking event saw the likes of Marta Bertoncelli and Giovanni De Gennaro shine on the Tacen course. 

Home nation Slovenia also had plenty to celebrate, headlined by siblings Eva Alina and Ziga Lin Hocevar, who both claimed gold in their respective kayak cross events.  

Italy completed a podium sweep in the women's canoe, with Bertoncelli taking gold in 92.40 seconds, ahead of Elena Micozzi in 93.84, and Elena Borghi in 94.68. 

De Gennaro led the way in the men's kayak, posting 73.35 seconds to take first place.  

He was pushed hard by two Slovenians with Ziga Lin Hocevar finishing second in 74.57, while the experienced Peter Kauzer took third in 75.53.  

In the women's K1, Francesca Malaguti of Italy won in 87.70 seconds, with American Ria Sribar second in 89.16 and Italy's Stefanie Horn third in 89.39.

Luka Bozic gave the home crowd reason to cheer with victory in the men's C1 in 79.44 seconds, ahead of Italy's Raffaello Ivaldi in 82.04 and compatriot Flavio Micozzi in 82.56. 

In the kayak cross individual events, Italy's Xabier Ferrazzi edged compatriot Michele Pistoni by just 0.17 seconds in the men's event. 

Ferazzi recorded 52.27 to Pistoni's 52.44, with Ziga Lin Hocevar third in 52.55.  

Eva Alina Hocevar dominated the women's kayak cross individual in 58.82, ahead of Italy's Chiara Sabattini in 62.55 and Lucia Pistoni in 64.30. 

She then captured the women's kayak cross crown, beating Ireland's Georgina Cochrane and Slovenia's Lea Novak, before brother Ziga Lin Hocevar completed a remarkable sibling double by winning the men's final.  

Austria's Noah Wilhelmer took silver, with compatriot Felix Oschmautz in third.
