The 2017 International Canoe Federation’s Ocean Racing World Cup season continues this weekend in Portugal, with most of the world’s best surfski paddlers expected to race for gold.

The 20 kilometre downwind race between Viana do Castelo and Esposende in the north of Portugal will be a perfect place to continue what is set to be a busy international season.

More than 250 paddlers from 20 countries will relish the strong winds and powerful waves as they head towards Ofir Beach, with 20,000 EU prizemoney up for grabs.

The ICF Ocean Racing World Cup ll/Nelo Summer Challenge starts at 2pm local time, Saturday afternoon.
