The French Federation of Canoe-Kayak (FFCK) is organizing the first edition of the French Elite Championship in the Vaires-sur-Marne basin (77) from 25 to 28 April 2017.

This competition will be used as a support for the Equipe de France selection races. It will bring together the best French players who will compete for the title of Champion of France Elite but also a place in the collective France 2017, whose highlights will be the European Championship in Plovdiv (BUL) from 14 to 16 July and the World Championship in Racice (CZE) from 23 to 27 August.

Maxime Beaumont, Olympic Vice-Champion at the last Olympic Games in the Kayak Single-person Kayak 200m, is already selected for the 2017 Senior international program for the distance of 200m.

The Paracanoë athletes will also start on the Vaires-sur-Marne basin on 27 and 28 April. For them, only one objective, the selection in Team France. Indeed, the French championship of Paracanoë will take place next July in Vitré (35).
