Szeged, Hungary is poised to stage the opening International Canoe Federation Canoe Sprint World Cup of the season.
Almost 700 athletes, including Olympic and world champions, have gathered at the Maty-er course to star on Hungarian waters.
Television cameras are ready to capture the action with races taking place from May 8 to 10.
The ICF is working with a growing collection of broadcast partners to ensure the World Cup is televised worldwide.
TV stations in Brazil, Canada, China, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Portugal, Slovakia and the United States will broadcast competition.

In addition, the ICF’s world feed broadcast will be streamed around the globe on the Planet Canoe YouTube channel, available to signed-up members.
The commentary will be anchored by ICF Lead Commentator Ross Solly, heading up a star-studded line-up.
Multiple Paralympic champion Emma Wiggs of Great Britain and Canoe Sprint world medallists Jennifer Egan-Simmons of Ireland and Alyce Wood of Australia are poised to be co-commentators.
