The International Canoe Federation has added Hangzhou Jiangyun Technology Co., Ltd. as a Gold Partner to support the organisation’s drive for an artificial intelligence-powered future in paddle sport.
Located in the Qingshan Lake Development Zone of Hangzhou, Jiangyun Technology specialises in applying AI in high-performance sport.
Known for the Canomatrix series of high-precision canoe and kayak ergometers and real-time water sports training monitoring systems, Jiangyun Technology has been supporting the Chinese national team in preparing for major events and has joined hands with the ICF to go global.
“Partnering with Hangzhou Jiangyun Technology marks an exciting step forward for us as we continue to modernise our global sport,” ICF President Thomas Konietzko said.
“Their innovation and expertise in artificial intelligence and technology align perfectly with our mission to grow paddle sport worldwide.
“Together, we will enhance the experience for athletes.”
Hangzhou Jiangyun Technology has already played a part in the ICF’s efforts to give opportunities to athletes from emerging nations.
The company’s ergometers helped paddlers track and monitor their performance and progress at the one-month-long Canoe Sprint Development Camp at the ICF Hangzhou Excellence Centre.
“We are honoured to partner with the International Canoe Federation. Building on our previous experience in high-performance canoeing through collaboration with the Chinese national team at the 2025 ICF Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Milan, this partnership marks a significant step in expanding our global reach,” said Mr Guo Pengcheng, Chief Scientist from Jiangyun Technology.
“Our goal is to deepen our understanding of this beautiful sport practised worldwide and to empower athletes and recreational paddlers alike to enhance their performance through innovative technology.
“We were proud to contribute to the ICF’s Talent Identification Programme (TIP) camp in Hangzhou in October, where our technology supported athletes from emerging nations. Partnerships like these resonate deeply with our company’s vision to help make paddle sports truly global.”
