His wife Alexandra Keresztesi has represented both Argentina and Hungary in canoe sprint. She won silver in the K2 500m at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, ON, Canada. His brother Javier has also competed in the sport, finishing eighth in the K1 500m at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
