Session information

In this session Christian will give a brief history of anti-doping, including the period before the creation of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Christian will outline international anti-doping governance, including who is who and what their role is under the code.

Following this he will discuss the anti-doping code, including explaining the types of anti-doping rule violations (ADRV), the role of the athlete support person (ASP), and what they must comply with.

The presentation will include a walk through the prohibited list, therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs) and the risk associated with supplements. Following this, there will be an explanation of the doping control process, the athletes' anti-doping rights and what they must comply with, plus the coach's role during the sample collection session.

This session will provide examples of vulnerability and discuss how the coach can recognise them and act appropriately to prevent doping among their athletes.

Videos will be shared during the presentation, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions which Christian will answer live.
