The International Canoe Federation is opening its doors wider for this year’s Centennial Congress and celebratory dinner, extending the invitation beyond the usual three delegates per National Federation.

In honour of the 100-year milestone, the ICF warmly encourage all stakeholders to join the celebrations in Antalya, Turkiye, for this historic occasion.

Running from November 5 to 9 at the stunning Fame Residence Lara, the Congress will culminate in the ICF Centenary Dinner on Saturday (November 9) — a once-in-a-lifetime celebration you don’t want to miss.

The five-course dinner will be held from 18:30 to 22:00 at Perge Hall and will be a continuation of the 100-year celebrations held on the sidelines of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Over 150 guests gathered at the new headquarters of the French Federation of Canoe and Kayak (FFCK) at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium in August, where International Technical Officials were honoured.

In Antalya, guests will be presented with a book, titled A Century of Paddling, commemorating 100 years of the global governing body, like Paris.

Additionally, interviews of those involved in the history of the sport along with audio-visual presentations and a surprise entertainment showcasing Turkish culture will also be on display.

There will also be a festive Opening Ceremony on Wednesday (November 6) from 18:00 to 19:30 in the Amphitheatre.

Day one and two of the Congress will be held on Thursday (November 7) and Friday (November 8), respectively, from 09:00 to 18:00 and conclude with the all-important elections in Perge Hall.

Each National Federation can have a maximum of three official delegates, of which one can vote in the elections. If there are three attendees from the same federation, at least one must be of each gender.

To mark this special Congress, the ICF is welcoming additional delegates to attend as observers and take part in the 100-year celebrations alongside their respective federations or organisations.

There is no limit on the number of observers who can participate in the Congress.

Registrations for the Congress close on October 8, 2024. For any questions, please contact congress@canoeicf.sport.
