Great Britain’s Ottilie Robinson-Shaw swept to a hat-trick of titles on a remarkable final day at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Freestyle World Cup in Millau, France. 

The nine-time world champion dominated the women’s competition, capturing gold medals in the squirt, canoe and kayak. 

There was also joy for hosts France as home favourite Tom Dolle triumphed in the men’s canoe, while Alex Edwards’ victory in the men’s squirt and Ben Higson’s success in the men’s kayak capped a stunning World Cup for Great Britain.

Robinson-Shaw’s first gold came in the women’s squirt courtesy of a sensational score of 1673.33 points. 

Norway’s Valerie Bertrand earned silver with 531.33, while Anne Ruyters posted 312.00 for bronze. 

Robinson-Shaw was also on another level in the women’s canoe final as she cruised to victory. 

She got better with every round, registering 520.00 and 780.00 before sealing the title with 993.33.

Poland’s Zofia Tula and Germany’s Anica Schacher also left their best until last, scoring 553.33 and 546.67, respectively for the other two spots on the podium. 

The golden hat-trick was sealed when Robinson-Shaw captured the women’s kayak crown with 1086.67. 

Ireland’s Leah Hough produced a superb final ride to notch 970.00 for silver, while Tula bagged bronze with 891.67. 

Great Britain’s other two gold medals in Millau came courtesy of Edwards and Higson. 

Edwards emerged victorious in the men’s squirt thanks to a fantastic second-round score of 2170.00. 

He was followed by two Germans as Finn Kroessig registered 1753.33 for silver and Mike Lochny posted 1546.67 for bronze. 

It was British one-two in the men’s kayak as Higson got the better of Harry Price in the final.

Higson triumphed with 1816.67 as Price secured silver with 1723.33. 

Poland’s European champion Tomasz Czaplicki clinched bronze with 1680.00. 

Dolle delighted the home crowd with a superb victory in the men’s canoe final. 

The Frenchman’s first-round score of 1316.67 proved to be enough to take the win in Millau. 

Price notched 1133.33 for silver, while France’s Jean-Yves Moustrou earned 1060.00 for bronze. 

In the junior events, Mary Clair Hargrove of the United States and Jake Bermingham of Ireland claimed the respective women’s and men’s kayak crowns.
