His career is driven by a lifelong passion for the power of sport and a commitment to enhancing how we experience it. This journey began with him as a copywriter in advertising for sports brands, amongst others, and then on to as a sports correspondent covering the Olympic Games, Formula 1 and football for global outlets.

Cyril Nivel has been serving as the Global Director of Operations at ICF since 2024.  

He fell in love with paddle sport when he was 14, thanks to a school teacher who inspired him.

 

Prashant Kushwaha was elected as the President of the Asian Canoe Confederation (ACC) at the continental body’s Ordinary Congress in October 2025.
