When and where did you begin this sport?
He began paddling at age eight at the Club Nautique de Baud in France. He took up canoe sprint in 2007, having previously competed in wildwater canoeing at elite level.
Why this sport?
"I started off wildwater paddling, and at my first world championships I was a little shocked to find myself on top of the podium in K1. Two years later I won another silver medal. But it wasn't an Olympic event, so in 2007 I changed discipline with the dream in my head to go to the Olympics."
