Other information
After winning gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she took a break from the sport for six months and returned with a fresh outlook, and went on to win her first world title in 2013. "I wasn't sure what to expect after my six-month break, but everything fell right back into place. After winning Olympic gold there are two ways to approach things. You can either put more pressure on yourself and everything becomes complicated, or you can sit back and say 'I've done it, I've achieved the pinnacle of my sport, now I can have fun and enjoy what comes next, and just concentrate on performing to my best'. It's a nice motivation to think that everything that comes from here forward is a bonus, and that you have nothing left to prove." (purepeople.com, 16 Sep 2013)
