The 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom and Wildwater World Championships in Pau created canoeing history, and now you can own your very own collection of memories from the great event.

2017 was the first time slalom and wildwater held their World Championships at the same time, at the same venue, with almost 500 athletes from 60 nations competing over the week-long event.

Fans voted with their feet, filling the stands every day and partying into the night as Pau organisers turned the event into an entertainment spectacular.

Now an official book of the championships, full of fantastic photographs, results and memories, has been released by the Pau organising committee.

The book is much more than a synopsis of the event itself. It also looks at the history of canoe-kayak, the work of the Pau Canoe-Kayak University Club, the wonderful Pau Pyrenees Stadium, and the legacy the World Championships will leave.

You can read about the experiences of the organising committee, the volunteers and the athletes.

Relive the colourful opening ceremony, the exciting night-time racing, and the wonderful post-racing entertainment that kept the fans parting well into every night.

And of course, there is a special focus on the athletes of France, who performed so strongly in front of the more than 50,000 fans who attended.

The book is available online, and the first 200 buyers will receive as a gift a USB key with all the photos of the World Championships.
