2019 ICF CANOE SPRINT WORLD CUP 2
DUISBURG, Germany
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics is getting closer, and the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Duisburg, Germany, will provide an opportunity for several athletes to earn their countries an all-important Games quota. Duisburg is a favourite racing venue for paddlers from all over the world, and the extra incentive of earning a ticket to Japan is certain to make racing keen.
Duisburg hosted its first ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships way back in 1979, and has held four world titles since - the latest back in 2013. Duisburg is also a regular on the ICF World Cup circuit, and was the venue for the second world cup last year. Duisburg is the home course for several of the best paddlers in the world, including three-time Olympian Max Hoff.
